Glitzy Pink Nails Tutorial!

So I get a lot of questions on what colour nail polish my glitter nails are, and I think it puts them off when I tell them that it takes more than one colour to do - maybe they think that it's too complicated? Who knows, but I decided that since so many people asked me irl, I would post a (sort-of) tutorial online.

The reason I call this a 'sort-of' tutorial is because I'm still not sure that I'm any good at this stuff!
However I have pictures to explain what I'm blabbering on about today, so without further a-do, here's the tutorial!

Step 1: Apply a base coat to your nails in order to protect them - I used Sally Hansen Hard as Nails. (I did this the night beforehand, hence the changes in lighting)..

Step 2: Apply a hot pink colour to all of your nails, but just one coat. The reason we only apply one coat is so that the colours don't build up and you end up with really thick layers of polish on your nails - I've found it's more prone to chip the thicker it is. I used 17 Supreme Shine Miami.

Step 3: Apply a sheer light pink over the hot pink colour, again, you'll only need one coat. This time it's so that we can still see the darker pink through the light one. I used 17 Supreme Shine Pinking Shear.

Step 4: Apply a glitter polish! Any nail polish with glitter is fine - I've just used an off-brand polish I got in a set. You do want it to be a clear polish, though, otherwise you won't really see the pink you just put on! My polish has silver sparkles, and they work with any colour polish - as you've seen, I've used it with blue, silver, pink, gold, black, etc - however you could use glitter of the same colour, e.g. using pink glitter on pink nails.

Step 5: Apply a top coat and you're done! Here is the finished look:

I hope this tutorial was easy to understand! Thanks for reading!
